Artwheel Academy
Where young artists learn to see, question, and create.
At Artwheel, we don't just teach to draw and paint - we teach to recognize the essence and convey ideas.
Our Classes
After School Classes
No experience needed - just interest.
Artwheel Academy classes are open to all children with a love for drawing or a desire to explore. Classes are intentionally small to allow for individual attention and personal growth. We begin with oil pastels - an expressive, forgiving medium that encourages bold exploration - and slowly introduce classical techniques like shading, color theory, and composition.
But more than that, we guide students to observe deeply, to slow down, and to question. Through sketching everyday objects - like lemons, windows, skulls - they learn how light, shape, and emotion interact.
What your child will gain:
A solid foundation in classical drawing techniques
Confidence in self expression
The ability to observe, analyze, and reflect - skills that extend far beyond the page
A nurturing space to create without pressure or perfection

About
At Artwheel Academy, we believe every child holds a unique way of seeing the world. Our classes don't begin with a strict format of classical art training - they begin with training to observe and wonder. Is the lemon only yellow? Why? Is the shadow black? Why is that?
Founded by Regina - a classically trained artist, former veterinary pathologist, and lifelong observer of nature - our studio nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and emotional expression through art. We offer a space where mistakes are welcome, imagination is honored, and kids are spoken to with the same respect we offer adults.
Whether your child is a budding artist or simply curious, we welcome them into our circle of color, curiosity, and creation.
βImagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world.β
